Are the stories safe for children?
Every idea and every finished story goes through an automatic safety filter, and if the filter is down the story is simply not made. We don't write about violence, scary bedtime scenes or characters from other people's stories. Stories in our series reach the catalogue only after our editors approve them.
Where do the stories come from? Who writes them?
We write our series with the help of artificial intelligence and review them before publishing. Stories made to order are written by AI from your idea. AI content is labelled on the site and in the files (illustrations, PDF, MP3).
What is free, and how much is a plan?
Free: the first story of every series and stories marked free, colouring pages, family recordings, 5 AI story drafts a day and one full story to start. Basic costs PLN 14.99 a month, Premium PLN 29.99 (with series audiobooks and the parent's AI voice). With a card, the first 7 days are free.
Can a story be about my child?
Yes. Add a child profile (first name, age and interests) and stories made to order will be about them. The first full story is free, with no card.
Can I cancel at any time?
Yes. You cancel a card subscription with one button on the Subscription page and keep access until the end of the paid period. Access bought with BLIK ends by itself and nothing renews.
How does paying with BLIK work?
You pay once through PayU for 30 or 365 days of access. Nothing renews automatically: we remind you by e-mail before the access ends, and you extend it with another payment.
What is the parent's voice?
With "Record how you read" you record yourself or invite a grandparent with a link, and your child hears the story read by someone close. In Premium you can also create the parent's AI voice: only after recording your consent with a one-time code, and you can delete it at any time.
Do the stories work without internet?
In the mobile app you can download stories and their narration to listen without internet for as long as you have access to them. You can also download stories as a PDF to print and print colouring pages.
What happens to my data and my child's?
About your child we keep only the first name, age group and interests. We don't sell data and we show no ads. You can export your data and delete it with your account in the settings. Details are in the privacy policy.
Where does Hug a Story work?
In the browser on a phone, tablet and computer. The reader has a night mode, large text and a narration sleep timer, and kid mode shows only the stories.
